MAGICAL GARDEN - 360-DEGREE LIGHT ARTWORK AT GLOW LIGHT ART FESTIVAL

I developed a new edition of my 360-degree light artwork ‘Magical Garden’ specifically for GLOW Light Art Festival in the Netherlands. For this edition of the artwork, I deliberately chose a bleak parking area as its location. By utilizing light art and soundscape — an analogy of sound and landscape indicating an acoustic environment — I wanted to transform the parking area into a magical wonderland. The lighting of an open, nearly empty space was challenging but that is exactly why this location is so fascinating. I wanted to create an as great as possible contrast to the original state of this area in order to bring out a completely new environment. My work is based on endless testing of limits and continuous learning of new stuff. I have never created light art on a parking area, so the implementation of this edition was a lot of fun.
